Biography


Luis J. Gomez is a New York–based stand-up comedian, writer, podcaster, and producer known for his confrontational, high-energy style and uncompromising approach to comedy. Blending sharp crowd work with brutally honest material, his work has earned him a fiercely loyal following and a reputation as one of the most influential voices in modern underground comedy.


He first gained wider attention through his prolific podcasting career, becoming best known as the co-host of Legion of Skanks, alongside Big Jay Oakerson and Dave Smith. He also hosts Real Ass Podcast and The Regz, cementing his role as a central figure in the New York comedy scene.


Alongside podcasting, Luis is a seasoned live performer who has toured internationally, delivering raw, provocative stand-up that thrives on risk, confrontation, and authenticity.


Credits

Luis was named a Breakout Performer at the Just For Laughs Festival in Montreal and has performed at major events including the Moontower Comedy Festival. He has also appeared on Fully Loaded Tour, further expanding his audience beyond traditional club circuits.


In 2016, he co-founded the GaS Digital Network with Ralph Sutton, creating a platform that has become a launchpad for independent comedy voices. That same year, he co-created Skankfest, an anarchic, fan-driven comedy festival that has sold out annually and developed a cult-like global following.


Luis has appeared across television and digital platforms, including Last Comic Standing, Roast Battle, Comedy Knockout, What’s Your F@%king Deal?!, and The Jim Gaffigan Show.


He is also a frequent guest on some of the world’s most-listened-to comedy podcasts, including The Joe Rogan Experience, Kill Tony, The Tim Dillon Show, and Matt and Shane’s Secret Podcast.
